We all know Chris Daughtry, a former struggling artist and a carpenter from American Idol. Who after winning hearts of millions of people across the world with his spot on hard rock vocal skills has became a sensation. Since his days of competing with other American Idol contestants are long over, Chris Daughtry has been surrounded by nothing more or less then fame and wealth.
Apparently his former fellow band members aren’t much happy with his newly found success that is why they have sued the legendary rock star for defraud and stealing their lyrics. Bassist Ryan Andrews, drummer Scott Crawford and guitarist Mark Perry file their respective cases in court against Chris Daughtry.
The former members say that:
‘Chris robbed us. The songs which gave him success and fame all around the world were never written by him but all of us wrote them together. Famous songs like Home, Breakdown, Conviction and Sinking are the ones we all wrote together and he not only stole our faith in him but also made us take this horrible step against some one we once thought was our dear friend.’
Chris Daughtry in response to the above allegation says:
”I am very hurt by these false accusations. The songs listed in this lawsuit were written solely by me and no one else and at this time, I have no further comment.”
