With ‘The Avengers‘ movie currently in production, we knew it wouldn’t be long before Marvel Studios revealed a few official photos of the cast and characters in action (or otherwise) on the set of the upcoming film…
And we were right…
The movie is about a group of heroes who band together to fight a threat that none of them can individually take on. The movie is due to hit theaters in North America on May 4th, 2012.
Entertainment Weekly revealed official photos of the cast on the set. Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner are seen in full costume.
Individual photos of each of the avengers were also released. The photos give us a closer look at the detail of Black Widow, Hawkeye, Captain America and Thor‘s costumes, respectively.
Much like the previous Marvel films, much of the script is being made up as they shoot the movie. Joss Whedon is quoted to have said:
“There is a weird element of: they handed me one of the biggest movies of all time, and I’m making it up as I go.”
Whedon‘s success and experience writing superhero comic books and the success of the last few Marvel films, make us have faith that making it up as he goes isn’t the worst thing ever. As far as we’re concerned, they made Iron Man up as they went along…
And it was Bad-Ass!
