Dance movies are back again and personally speaking I absolutely love such genre movies. I am going to throw a million thanks to Director Craig Brewer for remaking Footloose 1987.
Footloose 2011 with the perfect casting of Kenny Wormald playing as Ren MacCormack, Julianne Hough playing as Ariel Moore, Dennis Quaid playing as Shaw Moore and Andie MacDowell paying as Vi Moore is a dance genre movie about young teenagers who would go against the norm, cut loose and step out for the passion of dance.
The basis of the plot are set with Bobby Moore who falls into an accident after having a long party night with his friends. His father being the reverend of the church, Shaw Moore somehow manages to put the entire blame over the Bomont City Council and bans dance and music in the Bomont City.
After a skip of 3 years, Ren McCormack moves to Bomont City from Boston for fresh air and to ease depression caused due to his mother’s death. While living with his Aunt, Uncle and Cousins, Ren soon makes new friends, joins high school and finds out about the ban of dance and music in Bomont City.
Ariel Moore and Ren soon find themselves together after Ariel’s boyfriend named Chuck Cranston gets defeated by Ren in a game of chicken that involves buses.
With the spark of Dance and love for music, Ren And Ariel now read many bible scripts that are in favor of Dance and Music and how ancient people have used it as a means to rejoice and celebrate. Thus beginning a New Movement in which Ren must do everything he can because the council votes against him.
