“Gone” is the latest in psychological thrillers. Amanda Seyfried stars as Jill Parrish who discovers that her sister Molly has been abducted by someone. Her sister had been kidnapped by a serial killer a year before and Jill is now convinced that he is the suspect here too.

Afraid for her sister’s life, Jill has to chase down the criminal and save her sister’s life before the damage becomes undoable. The trailer features Amanda Seyfried flashing action to find the criminal who may not be real.

The twist, of course, is that the killer did his job so well that no one actually believes he is real. Gone has been directed by Brazilian director Heitor Dhalia and written by Allison Burnett, who has also written the upcoming Underworld: Awakening – Vengeance Returns.

Although a lot of such plots are coming up movies nowadays with the lead character not knowing what is real and what is not. We will soon find out whether Gone is one of the better or worse psychological thrillers when the film hits theaters on February 24, 2012.
