The end of the sweltering summers of 2011 brought to us the greatest award shows of all time, the historic MTV Video Music Awards. This year the show had many spellbinding moments on the stage and the Black Carpet. There were headliners, not-so-good and some outlandishly crazy outfits to be seen throughout the evening. So without further ado, Glamzzle will jump right into the evening’s list of top Winners and the Best Dressed at the VMAs 2011.
Singer Katy Perry was the biggest winner of the evening. She also changed her outfit 3 times but looked ravishing when she arrived in an Asian-inspired ensemble. Her video “Firework” won the VMA for Video of the Year and she also won Best Collaboration award for “E.T.” with Kanye West.
Singer Beyonce arrived at the VMAs in a flowing caftan by Lanvin, hugging her newly revealed baby bump. For her performance later in the evening, Beyonce donned a purple sequined Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo, complete with maternity top. She was a show-stopper.
Britney Spears looked ravishing in a black mini dress. The singer won Best Pop Video for “Till the World Ends” and also got the honor for Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
Katie Holmes was in rock spirit at the VMAs she wore a rocking Alaia mini dress with brown colored, suede Proenza Schouler shoes.
Singer Miley Cyrus arrived on the Black Carpet in a long-sleeved grey dress by Roberto Cavalli.
Rapper Nicki Minaj looked crazy as she arrived in a larger-than-life costume consisting of all the toys she could find and a surgical mask but still she won the VMA for Best Hip Hop Video for “Super Bass”.
The 30-year-old reality show star and newlywed Kim Kardashian was wearing a low cut Kaufman Franco plunging v-neck gown. She also hosted the VMAs.
Nickelodeon actress Victoria Justice stepped onto the Black Carpet of the MTV Video Music Awards in a gold sequined dress by Theory and Rock matched with Republic shoes. The 2011 VMAs were the first for the eighteen-year-old.
Justin Bieber arrived on the black carpet with his pet snake, named Johnson, in red pants, gold chains, wire framed glasses and a gold broach. Although he looked kind of funny, Bieber won the VMA for best male video for “U Smile”.
JoJo arrived at the MTV Video Music Awards in a black leather Marco Marco mini dress.
Singer Selena Gomez helped host MTV’s pre show, interviewing guests including boyfriend Justin Bieber. Gomez wore a lacey Julian Macdonald black gown with full train and a plunging back line. Her dress had something for every fashion.
Singer Jessie J arrives at the MTV Video Music Awards in a crystal studded bustie. Despite a broken ankle, the singer was the house musician for the awards show.
Rebecca Black arrived at the MTV Video Music Awards in a Theory jacket and Louboutin heels.
