Nicole Scherzinger Public Meltdown After Rachel Crow Elimination

Nicole Scherzinger was not intending to become a sob story on the “X Factor.”

But it was quickly turned into one as she fumbled on making the right choice and faced its backlash. This caused her to have a public meltdown on last Thursday night’s show as she failed to make the decision of a critical vote between contestants Marcus Canty and Rachel Crow.

Scherzinger was looking horrified when the final decision was on her shoulders and she put the competition into a deadlock because she was not able to make the right call.

“I can’t make this decision,” she said at the time. “Please, I can’t make this decision because I’ve been up there and I know how it feels. I love and adore both of you, so I have to go to deadlock.”

Later the inevitable happened, 13-year-old Rachel Crow got eliminated and both she and Scherzinger became inconsolable, with the Pussycat Dolls singer sobbing at the judges’ table.

The audience booed Nicole Scherzinger as Crow cried onstage on reality TV. Nicole Scherzinger also faced extreme backlash and hate mail from the X-Factor viewers which caused her meltdown.

“My heart comes from the right place so I get really sensitive when people are negative,” she said after the emotional elimination, according to People.

“I’m like, ‘Don’t they know I only want the best for every single person? …I want them to be the best they can be. Ultimately America made the choice.”

Nicole Scherzinger has also received death threats previously when she and Paula Abdul eliminated contestant Drew Ryniewicz. This time Nicole was very torn up over her decision after seeing the look on Crow’s face.

“When I saw that look on her face (I felt) that I let her down, like I dropped her,” she told People. “I could have been holding on and I dropped her. She is the sunshine of our show, so it’s hard to see her cry.” But seeing Crow cry was only the beginning.

Scherzinger faced a deluge of backlash and harsh comments after Thursday’s show, and many fans didn’t lighten their words. Some comments on various blogs and her Facebook page are given below.

“You bring ZERO value to the X-Factor since you are unable to be objective,” one fan wrote on her Facebook wall. “Please quit now. You have no respect from anyone…”

“I hope you decline from X Factor next year,” another wrote. “Stick to just trying to ‘look pretty in pink,’ more your realm. All the crying and inability to stand up last night, you looked like the 13 year old.”
