Listed in order of popularity, Spring 2012′s It-Colors for women are (from top down) Tangerine Tango, Solar Power, Sodalite Blue, Cabaret, Starfish, Margarita, Sweet Lilac, Driftwood, Bellflower and Cockatoo. We will give you a feel for each one and also give you tips on how you can wear these striking colors perfectly. Well here goes.
1. Tangerine Tango:
The perfect color for sophisticated people with sophisticated dinners to attend. Check out a few ideas how you can use this color for accessories. Young and bold alike can use this color as they want with a touch of royalty. Top of the list for Pantone 2012 Spring Colors, this color is a sure winner at the Red Carpet.
2. Solar Power:
This color has a timeless look and also perfect for all kinds of people. Funky ones can wear it like a cool accessory, royal ones can add flair to their wardrobe and traditional ones can bring glamour. It is traditional yet the bling factor for your closet this spring.
The young at heart will love this color for their closet. A soft and tender color like this can bring great softness in your life and this color has been ‘the’color for the royal Kate Middleton as well as Exquisite Kate Middleton Named Britain’s Best Dressed Woman.
4. Sodalite Blue:
This color has stayed in fashion as long as we can remember. It has been ‘the’ color for many ball parties in early 70s, it has been the centre of many brothels and now it has found its permanent place in fashion in the 21st century through models like Tyra Banks and Miranda Kerr and it is definitely here to stay.
This is the hot favorite and hot pink color of the season…to die for. It is wore in lingerie, dresses, shoes and bags…infact everywhere. It also made its way into men’s fashion and oh they look so hot wearing it. This shade of pink is a heart stopper and my favorite for the season.
It is not just good in drinking, this color has the dull but sexy quality to catch you eye wherever you go. You can wear it in the middle of desert and still rock it. Brides can wear it on their ‘big’ day and look lovely as the olives it comes out of. The pale skinned and ebony blacks all can share the joy of the color that ‘is’… Margarita. Are you up for it?
7. Sweet Lilac:
This color is as sweet as its name. It is the perfect color for the coolness of spring. It is also the perfect party color for all the lovebirds. This sweet color has a way of making it into your heart without second thought and it goes very good with the dark shades.
Cockatoo is a color made not for all eyes yet it has won the hearts and wardrobes of many. The funky and emo ones may like it but the sophisticated have also mixed and matched for their own style. It is the only unique color that was new for us in the Pantone’s 2012 Spring Colors list and for me its a ‘YES’!
Driftwood is as mystical as its name and it is as much an ancient color as it sounds like. The color has an ageless quality that makes it practically wearable for any age. It is the perfect color if you are thinking of redecorating your living room or if you are thinking of getting some new draperies up. Nevertheless, wardrobes have given space to this color as well and driftwood has become the new ‘young.’
Last in the list of ‘IT’ colors for Spring 2012 is Starfish, a beautiful shade of brown that is soft as silk. In fact it looks best on silk. The beauty of this color is in its timeless feel. You can wear a Starfish colored own and wear a choker around your neck and be 40 years old and still look fantastic as you were in your young age. This is the beauty of this color. One of the most sophisticated and fashionable color for spring. Go get it…
