Smokey Eye Make Up – Step By Step

Smokey eyes are in fashion for quite a while for now and this style is getting even more popular with each passing day.

Usually black, brown or grey colors are used for this makeup but for variation and innovation colors like deep purple, blue, green and violet may be used. The key to the perfect smokey eye is proper blending. Make sure colors are blended together flawlessly. Also mix light base colors with rich dark colours.

1. Apply Foundation

First and foremost step towards makeup is applying foundation on the whole face and specially making your eyes, oil free. So first apply foundation and then put powder on them so that they remain oil free for longer time.

Remove excessive powder with the help of a brush. Then apply a simple light coloured eye shadow base.

2. Apply Light Base Color

The main point in smokey eyes is to pair the light colour with the darker tone. So apply a nice light cream eye shade for the base. Sweep a light, shimmery shadow over the lids to your brow bone.

3. Apply Eye Shadow

This make up depends totally on the beautiful application of the eye shadow so take great care while applying one. Apply the darker shade on the eye lids. Start blending it from the browbone but keep it below the crease. Smudge the colour either with your fingers or a brush.

4. Applying and blending the Eye Liner

For typical smoky eye make up, apply liner in black, brown or gray colours. Apply the liner above the upper lash line, drawing it thicker in the middle of the eye. If you want a gorgeous and different smokey eyes then line the eyes with purple, blue or deep green liner. Blend in the colour with a pencil liner because these are the easiest to blend.

5. Taking care of the bottom part

You need a thin angle brush to blend the colour on this part. By using it blend the black gel eye liner on upper and lower part of the lashes. Apply creamy white eye pencil inside the lid to enhance the shine of the eyes.

6. Final Touch to Eyes

Clean excessive eye shadow around the eyes with the help of make up wipes. Now mix a few drops of creamy foundation and put it around the eyes.

7. Putting the mascara

Apply several coats of mascara so your lashes look thick and dark. You can curl the lashes to enhance the effect. Now highlight the shape of the eye brows with an eye pencil.

8. Final Touch makeup

Apply creamy coral blush on in natural shades on the cheeks. Do not put too much, just give a natural touch.

9. Lips

In smokey eye make up the focus is on eyes so never put a darker lipstick shade on your lips. The make up tip is to focus either the eyes or the lips. So use a light shiny shade of a matching lipstick because that will highlight your eye make up.
