Well! Well! Our Top Bollywood music directors have done again what they do best all the time, copying music from other innocent, unknowing musicians. This time the infamous and self-proclaimed music director Himesh Reshammiya has tread on these foreign lands and landed himself into a fix…Again!!!
The song with the haunting music, Teri Meri Prem Kahani from the movie “Bodyguard” has been ‘so-called’ composed by Himesh Reshammiya recently. And like the movie the well-known song has also landed into deep waters.
Apparently ‘Teri Meri Prem Kahani’ from movie “Bodyguard” has been completely copied (and when we say completely we mean COMPLETELY) from a young artist, Cleopatra Stratan. The song’s original name is “La Betlem Colo n jons”.
Cleopatra Stratan, a very young singing icon, is from Moldova, Romania/Ukraine. She is a baby singer who started her career at the age of 3. She has been competing for the Guinness World Record with her magical and soothing voice.
Cleopatra Stratan is the youngest artist ever to appear on the music scene since long. And this made us wonder what would this innocent child think if she knows about the amazing ‘Himesh Reshammiya copycat’ fact?!
Bollywood musicians have been known for copying and modifying any music, be it mainstream or small town music. From our very own Jal’s ‘Aadat’ to this young artist’s hard work, Bollywood has ‘copied’ it all. Shame at Himesh Reshammiya for doing child’s play with someone’s music!
For those who have not heard the sweet child, Cleopatra Stratan’s song “La Betlem Colo n jons.” Here it is…listen and share with us what you think!!
Although now fans will be over this song for good…listen to ‘Teri Meri Prem Kahani’ from “Bodyguard” movie from the video below and see the exact composition match with above song…

i agree wit tooba
nice songs an album…
I am from Romania. The author of this article is a little wrong:
the original Romanian song ( a chirstmas carol ) does NOT belong to Cleopatra Stratan as stated by the author. The song belongs to the romanian Folklore, it might be hundreds of years old. Although Cleopatra did a great job singing it, it doesn’t belong to her.
