This Means War – It’s A Spy Against A Spy

We have Tom Hardy playing as Tuck, Reese Witherspoon playing as Lauren and Chris Pine playing as Frank “FDR” Foster. To cut things short the preface of the movie is a Love Triangle. Tuck and Frank are CIA agents and best friends who are always teamed up on missions. Both men are looking for a woman in their life. That’s when Lauren comes in the picture.

She is a hard working woman with a hard time trusting people. When her best friend, Trish (Chelsea Handler) creates her profile on a dating website, she meets Tuck and goes on a date with him. While returning home, she bumps into Frank and unwillingly has a date with him too. 

Soon the two men realize that this is the girl of their dreams. As for Lauren? Well, let’s just say she is in love with both of them.

When Tuck and Frank disclose their love interests, both are taken back because it is the same girl they both are dating. That’s exactly when things start turning otherwise. Although they leave the decision of choosing the correct man upon Lauren, they can’t help keep the CIA Agent blood back in their veins.

This friendship turns into a war. And when both the parties are agents with high tech systems, tracking devices, spy devices, sources at their fingertips and a spy team of their own, you can only imagine where this all is going.

The movie keeps you questioning who is it going to be? Will it be Tom who is a serious passionate lover or is it going to be Frank who is a recklessly romantic lover. Lauren is confused and takes her friend’s advice,

“Don’t choose the better man, choose the man who makes you a better woman.”

This is one of the best quotes from the movie and Lauren’s entire decision is based upon it. No spoilers here. Watch the movie and find out who Lauren chooses Please be aware that this is not an action based movie. It is more focused on relationship, love, friendship and drama than action.
