Tyra Banks Fires Nigel, Jay & Miss J From ANTM…

Yes people. Relax. Take a glass of water and try to take this news slow and easy.

For those of you, who are not in this world and do not know what ANTM is, Well, it’s “America’s Next Top Model,” A reality television show where 10 to 14 women compete for the title of America’s Top Model. Never heard of it? Wait till I tell you, it has already aired 17 cycles.

Yup 17 cycles.

Tyra Banks is the producer of this show and of course the head judge. Her panel consists of Nigel Barker; 39 and photographer, J. Alexander; 53 and runway coach and Jay Manuel, 39 and creative directer. 

We do not know what is running up Tyra Banks’ mind but we definitely know that she has fired her panel of experts from America’s Next Top Model.

Reports come in that Nigel Barker, J. Alexander and Jay Manuel’s contracts will not be renewed for the next cycle, i.e Cycle 18.

Although ANTM is kind of a cliched reality show of models which has lost its tint over the 17 cycles and was better when it was new, yet we still have die hard fans who love to watch the show and this news does not sound good to them.

To confirm the news, Tyra Banks posted on her official facebook page saying,

Nigel Barker, J. Alexander and Jay Manuel will be leaving America’s Next Top Model.

Nigel Barker, J.Alexander (Miss J) and Jay Manuel (Mr. Jay) have been a part of ANTM since 2003 along with other judges who appeared on the show such as Twiggy, Kimora Lee, Paulina Porizkova and more.

What else does Tyra Banks have to say to her panel of experts. The same sweet stuff you say when you fire someone,

“To my Nigel Barker, Miss J, and Mr Jay: Thank you for all of our years together on America’s Next Top Model,” Banks wrote. “Working with you is always an absolute pleasure. Excited for what the future holds for us.”

Fans of ANTM might start hating Tyra Banks but people this is not her decision alone. Nigel Barker, who is friends with Tyra and also the ANTM producers said that this wasn’t a personal Tyra decision. It was taken on behalf of ANTM as a whole. They all had a great time and since the ratings of the show were gradually falling, ANTM had to take measures to improve them. 

We are sorry Barker, Miss J and Mr. Jay. Hope you are better off without ANTM.
