The latest Underworld 3d movie is “Underworld: Awakening,” third in the trilogy. Its screenplay has been written by Len Wiseman, John Hlavin and Allison Burnett. A horror and action sequel by Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein, this 3D flick will release in theatres on January 20, 2012.
This time around “Underworld: Awakening” is quite different from its preceding movies as it brings the epic war of Lycans and Vampires into 3D dimension where there are also humans involved. This is the first flick in the trilogy which has been shot in 3D.
Kate Beckinsale, the lead star of Underworld Trilogy, again holds the reins as the vampire Selena who has now escaped her imprisonment only to find herself in a whole different world than what she knew once. It’s a world where the truth about the existence of Lycans and Vampires has become known to the human world and the humans are plotting to eradicate this immortal species permanently.
